Oriental and Asiatic Lilies have been growing in popularity as a cut flower, following the path of garden grown lilies that are popular in backyard gardens.
Dillon Floral grows both Asiatic and Oriental Lilies, available year-round for professional retail florists. With approximately a dozen varieties available, you can choose colors ranging from white to pink and orange to red, including several bicolor varieties.
Dillon Lilies are harvested on the last possible day. This allows the buds to develop for an additional 2-3 days longer than lilies harvested in California or Holland. By delaying the harvest, we allow the buds to develop more size and a deeper color, enabling you to use the lilies soon after they arrive in your shop.
Dillon Lilies receive a "pulse" treatment with a newly developed plant hormone which maintains green foliage during the life of the flower. Untreated lilies will typically have yellowing foliage.
Once you receive Dillon Grown lilies in your shop, unpack immediately, re-cut stem ends and place the lilies in water treated with a professional preservative. Store at 33-35 degrees F.
