On Wednesday April 9, 2009 Dillon University was honored to host Bill J. Harper, AIFD, AAF, FAM who presented an inspiring, educational Sympathy Floral Design Show. Bill's beautiful designs were at once breathtaking and useable for today's more personalized memorial services and tributes. Students commented that the designs translated well for their market and for many occasions.
Funeral work continues to be the cornerstone of the Retail FLorist Industry. Bill's presentation focused on new design ideas and discussion of the trend towards personalized memorial tributes.
Dillon University students enjoyed an inspirational afternoon of education. They learned how to incorporate personal items, new products and beautiful flowers into memorable floral displays.
Highlights of the show included the Heather Bird and the Teapot Design. New stepping stones, Wooden Easels and Dillon Designed Sympathy Dish Gardens were also featured.
