On Sunday, September 20, 2009, Dillon Floral hosted our 35th Annual Open House / Design Show / Trade Fair featuring J M.H. Schwanke aaf, AIFD, PFCI.

The all-day event was held on a perfect PA Fall day at our facility in Bloomsburg. Professional Florists were invited to attend for a day of inspiration and education.
Vendor partners representing domestic and South American flower farms, international flower importers and domestic manufacturers participated in a Trade Fair.

J trained extensively for his career in flowers before joining his family’s floral business in
1976, and assuming management in 1981. In 1994, J began his career as a floral
marketing consultant and industry spokesperson. His presentation and speaking skills
quickly propelled him into a full time marketing consultant and promotions expert for
many floral industry leaders.He is the host of JTV at www.ubloom.com on a weekly basis, is the author of 2 books and continues to write articles for national and international trade magazines and home and garden consumer magazines.

On Saturday, Sept. 19, more than 20 professional florists joined Flower Industry Expert J Schwanke for an inspired and colorful HANDS-ON WORKSHOP featuring the Gala® Wedding Bouquet holder from FloraCraft.
Later that day Students were treated to J’s Burst into Bloom motivational presentation. Students, Dillon Team Members, Vendor Partners and family enjoyed a meal, conversation and a sneak peak at the trade fair.
